Your website's address will appear more professional because you will have a web address that does not contain Webnode such as my-website.com. By choosing a clear and easy-to-remember domain name, you will help your customers remember your website and make it easier to visit.

Will I get my free domain automatically?

Yes, you will get a free one–year domain registration with a Mini, Standard, Profi or Business Premium Package. After you buy a package, you will receive an informational email with a voucher code which you will use to easily register your domain. The voucher is valid for 45 days from the completion of your order.

Can I create my own email address?

Yes. With activated Premium Package Mini, Standard, Profi or Business and with your own domain, you can create your own email address such as email@my-website.com.

Do you offer automatic renewal of services?

Yes. When paying by PayPal or credit card, you can enable automatic renewal. Your services will automatically renew each year using the payment method used for the original order. You will be notified by email before the automatic payment is made. Auto-renewal can be deactivated at any time in the administration of your project.

Is it possible to cancel a domain registration?

What domain name will I get and for how long?

With the purchase of Premium Services, you can choose a domain extension from our domain pricelist. With your first purchase of a Mini, Standard, Profi or Business Premium Package you will get a free domain registration for one year. From the second year, you will pay for both the Premium Package and the domain.

What happens if I already have a domain with another registrar?

With Premium Services, you can run your website on a domain purchased with another registrar. After your payment is received, you will be sent a voucher for a free one-year domain registration. You can use the voucher to register a domain, transfer your existing domain to Webnode or attach your existing domain using DNS records.

What if I would like a refund?

When you order Premium Services for the first time, we offer a 15-day period when you are able to request a refund with no questions asked. Refunds are not possible for any renewal or for an order paid with a voucher. Refund is not applicable for a domain registration. Once paid, it is not possible to cancel the order of a domain. How does the Limited Premium Package work?

The Limited Premium Package does not include a free domain. It is ideal for people who want to run their websites under their own domains but do not need other Premium functions. • 6.Technical issues

  Webnode sites are stable but once something happens, it may be due to a wide range of issues. Here is a short checklist that helps you identify the issue and submit a precise report.

Paid & unpaid services

• 1.Is my website for free?

  Webnode websites are free in their basic form. These are fully functional websites that include most of the editing options, but don't offer access to certain advanced features and don't allow you to use your own domain. It means your website will be running on a Webnode subdomain, such as mywebsite.webnode.com. In terms of capacity, the free sites offer 1GB of monthly bandwidth and a 100MB storage for your content. You may keep using our free version indefinitely or if you wish or the capacity is no longer enough, upgrade to a Premium plan that extends the storage, functionality and allows you to use a custom domain

• 2.What is Premium and what do I need it for?

  Premium is a paid service that extends the functionality and storage of Webnode websites and a prerequisite for using your own domain. Premium subscription applies always to a single website and not the entire account. There are a few plans offering different advantages each. Compare the plans using the price list. In order to select a different language or currency use the language menu at the bottom.

• 3.What's the difference between a domain and Premium?

  These are two separate services. Whereas Premium gives you more storage or advanced features, a custom domain is simply the address of your website e.g. mike-smith.com. When running a professional website, you should have both of them. With most of our Premium plans you get a free domain for the first year. Premium is also necessary to be able to use your own domain.

• 4.Do you offer a free trial of Premium?

  Yes, definitely. If interested in trying out Webnode, log in and get in touch with us and we'll activate any Premium plan for free with no strings attached.

• 5.What's the minimum subscription period?

  We offer annual Premium plans starting with one year.

• 6.When is my service activated?

  The moment we receive your payment, we activate your service which is why we recommend using immediate payment methods such as credit card or Paypal. Domain registrations usually take 24-72 hours from the payment receipt date whereas domain transfers require your cooperation so make sure you read our email.

• 7.Can I upgrade and downgrade my Premium package?

  Sure, you can. When upgrading you simply pay the difference. Downgrading to a lower plan requires our support. Log in and get in touch with our customer care.

• 8.Can I move services across my websites?

  Yes, as long as the websites in question are within the same account, you can manage all your services within the user interface. For moving services across different user accounts, please log in and get in touch with our customer support.

• 9.I do not want the services to be automatically renewed in future

  It's easy. Simply go to the purchased services and billing section in the administration of your website and deactivate any active auto-renewal. If you purchased your subscription with PayPal, we also recommend deactivating it in the PayPal user interface.

• 10.I renewed my service but keep getting reminders

  Please double-check your subscriptions, especially if you've got more Premium plans and/domain within one or more user profiles. It may happen the notifications refer to another service. Furthermore, if you renewed any service manually via wire transfer it may take up to 5 days to complete the transfer.

Payments and invoices

• 1.I've paid but the service still isn't active

  If you ordered more than just one service and/or have more websites, please check which service you paid for. If the payment was made with wire transfer, double check that you used the correct reference and keep in mind a wire transfer may take even 5 days. If none of that helps, log in and get in touch with us.

• 2.When do I receive notifications about expiring services?

  In case of subscriptions with no automatic renewal, we send notifications about expiring services repeatedly among others 30, 15 and 3 days in advance. We also inform you about when we're going to extend your services automatically 30 days in advance.

• 3.Can I pay in monthly installments for your services?

  Unfortunately we offer annual billing only and the shortest subscription is one year. If unsure whether Webnode lives up to your expectations, log in and get in touch with us to get a free trial of Premium on your website.

• 4.Do you support auto-renewal? When is it active?

  When paying with credit card or online payment methods that support auto-renewal, we activate it in order to ensure the continuous service.

• 5.Where do I find the invoices?

  Your invoices are accessible as downloadable PDF-documents in the invoices section in the user administration.

• 6.Can I request invoice correction?

  Yes, you can do so within a certain time window. Log in and get in touchwith us if you need to update your billing data.

• 7.Can I request refund for services?

  You have a 15 day money back guarantee for the first purchase of our Premium services on a given website whereas completed domain registrations and transfers are non-refundable. Most important of all, we'd like to know why you're refunding our services in case it's an issue we can help you out with!

• 8.How to update my payment information (e.g. new credit card)

  We recommend you to turn off the auto-renewal. When renewing the service in question manually, enter your updated credit card information. If you are unable to renew it upon canceling the auto-renewal, get in touch with us.

• 9.Can I cancel the services before they end?

  You can cancel any active auto-renewal whereas if you want to remove any paid services – a custom domain or a Premium plan – please log in and get in touch with our customer support.

• 1.What is the name/internet address of my website?

  By default, the address of your website consists of the name you entered when you first created it and our domain which is to say "webnode" followed by a local domain, e.g. blacksmith-products.webnode.com. Once you register a custom domain e.g. blacksmith-products.com, it replaces the initial Webnode-address and becomes your primary domain.

• 2.How can I change the address of my project?

  By registering one or more custom domains and choosing which one is the primary domain/address of your website. If you've only started working on your website, you can simply set up a new one with a different address.

• 3.What's the address with CMS for?

  A page address with this three-letter abbreviation refers to the editable version of that page and as such can't be accessed by anyone else but a logged user (i.e. website owner, administrator, or editor). When sharing the address of your website with your readers, make sure you share the one without CMS.

• 4.Is my site immediately online?

  The template you selected along with the predefined content is immediately online whereas none of the changes done by you is available online until you press the publish button. In case you accidentally publish an unfinished website, it's worth knowing that any newly published website has a very limited visibility on the internet. Read more about Search Engine Optimization.

• 5.Are Webnode sites mobile friendly?

  You can create, edit and view your site as well as changing settings and managing eshop products and orders on your mobile device. The design will adjust to any screen size. Removing and changing sections or of specific pages requires accessing the editor on a regular computer or laptop and the same goes for changing their section background.

• 6.My website isn't showing in search engines e.g. Google,Bing

  Once you publish your website, the task of reaching out to your audience or clients has only just begun. The combination of creating good content, optimizing the website for search engines and promoting it via social media is the way to go. Read more here and here.

• 7.Is my page secure?

  Security is our big concern. That's why we offer SSL, constantly audit our systems and require you to log in so that we can receive authorized requests.

• 8.Is Webnode GDPR compliant?

  Yes, we don't share customer data with any third party and use it solely to fulfil our contractual obligations. Once you decide to delete your user profile, we don't store any of your data.

• 9.My page got blocked. Why and what to do?

  We provide a stable and reliable platform and constantly monitor the status of our servers. However, it may happen that your website gets affected by an outage or its content is misinterpreted by our algorithms. We reserve the right to block websites for various violations of our T&C. Whatever happened, feel free to log in and let us know about your issue.

• 10.How can I delete my website?

  If there're no paid services associated with it, you can easily remove your website in the administration of your website. If you on the other hand have any paid services, please log in and get in touch with us. We'll be happy to help you transfer your services to any other Webnode website that you have.

E-shop basics

• 1.Can I create an e-shop for free?

  You can create a demo version of Webnode e-shop and test it for free as long as you want but a fully functional e-shop with access to customer data requires Premium Standard. If you need more advanced features such as variants, we recommend that you consider choosing Premium Pro.

• 2.Can I add or switch off an e-shop module in my site?

  If you select a template designed specifically for e-commerce the e-shop mode active by default, you can simply remove it in the settings. On the other hand if you choose a regular template, you can activate it and then remove it.

• 3.How many products can I insert in my e-shop?

  Although we created our e-commerce solution for small and middle-size merchants, there is no fixed limit to the number of items you can sell via Webnode. If you're unsure whether Webnode is for you, simply get in touch with us. If you haven't got an account yet click here.

• 4.Does Webnode e-shop come with an invoicing software?

  Yes, our system offers the option of creating invoices.

• 5.What payment methods do you support?

  It depend on the market. In the United States, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, New Zealand, and the Philippines we support Stripe, PayPal, and Wire transfer.

• 6.What transportation methods do you support?

  We support the most common delivery services such as DHL, FedEx, UPS, UPSPS, In-store pickup and others.

• 7.Do you provide terms and conditions for my e-shop?

  While we provide a template for the privacy policy, terms and conditions are way more specifically related to your business and that's why we leave it up to you to craft a terms and conditions page.

• 8.Can I sell digital products?

  At present our e-commerce solution isn't well-adjusted for selling digital goods but we're working towards changing it.

• 9.Can I test premium e-shop before purchasing it?

  Absolutely. Just set up you e-shop and get in touch with us so that we can activate your Premium plan.

Editor & content

• 1.What if I find no template suitable for my business

  Our templates are only meant to inspire the creative process of website creation. You can personalize all default text and graphical content. What it means is that you can pick any template based on the kind of colour selection and layout that you like and adjust it to any business concept.

• 2.Is it possible to change the template?

  The interactive presentation of our template page allows you to explore every template and experience first-hand such important details as the menu, footer or header. This way you make an informed choice. Once you pick a template, you can't switch to a different one but remake it just about any way you want.

• 3.How to publish changes and make my site visible online?

  By pressing the publish button in the upper bar, you make visible the changes on the page you're editing. Changes in the settings section require only saving and closing the settings window.

• 4.Are my edits saved automatically?

  Yes, while publishing changes online requires pressing the publish button, saving changes in the editor happens automatically. It's important to note that when editing the text in a content box, the autosave gets triggered by leaving the content box, i.e. if you close the tab with the website editor in the middle of writing a text, it won't get auto-saved.

• 5.Can I revert changes in the editor?

  Majority of regular changes within the content of a single page can be reversed using the undo option in the left upper corner. It will not work for big changes such as removing a page or removing the e-shop module. The editor will let you know if a change you're about to make is permanent.

• 6.Can I unpublish individual changes or my whole site?

  No. You can revert content changes (see above) but you can't unpublish them. What you can do is to remove the unwanted content in the editor and publish the website. Nor is it possible to unpublish the entire website.

• 7.Can I use third party features and plugins?

  Sure, you can use the HTML option and paste in a piece of code to extend the functionality of your website. We can't guarantee that every plug-in you find on the internet will be compatible with our editor but many of them work just fine.

• 8.Can I edit CSS?

  Webnode doesn't support editing CSS and the editor is the only tools for changing the design of your website.

• 9.Can I connect my website with social media?

  Yes, you can put social media widgets using the editable website header.

Domains

• 1.What is a domain?

  It's the internet address of a website that you enter in the address field of your browser. By default Webnode sites are running on one of the Webnode domains e.g. webnode.com. To have better visibility online, we recommend that you register your own domain e.g. travel-planning.com.

• 2.Can I use one or multiple custom domains?

  You can use as many custom domains as you want if your website is a Premium website. If you have multiple domains, one of them will be set as the primary and the website will be displayed on this domain. Other domains will redirect to it.

• 3.I've just paid for a domain. When will it be up and running?

  It may depend on the domain type but most often it takes up to 48 hours for your domain to be up and running. Remember to double check the contact information and follow the instructions we may send you.

• 4.Can I transfer an existing domain to Webnode. How long does it take?

  Yes. Domain transfer along with domain registration or assigning requires Premium. It isn't an automatic process and requires your cooperation. From the moment we change domain settings, it takes up to 48 hours for your domain to be active and unless we've got all the information we need, we can't initiate domain transfer. We offer domain transfer only for the domain types that you find on our pricelist. Use the language menu at the bottom to switch languages and currencies.

• 5.Can I assign a registered domain without moving it?

  Yes, you can, but it requires the change of DNS records of your domain. This option is recommended only to technically advanced web administrators or for those domains not supported by us. The domain transfer on the other hand does not require any technical skills, we take care of the domain setting completely. NOTE: In case you registered your COM, NET or ORG domain less then 60 days ago, the transfer is not possible yet and assigning such domain is an alternative for transfer. • 6.I want to set up my DNS. How do I go about it?

  We'll be happy to take care of your domain settings. Log in to get in touch with our support.

• 7.What is a private domain registration?

  The contact details you're using while registering a domain is public and can be often found in freely available databases making you vulnerable to spammers. Private domain registration allows you to hide that information by replacing it with our contact details while you remain the domain owner. By no means does it hide the contact information published on your website.

• 8.I get a "My page is not secured" message. How come?

  It may mean that something went wrong with the SSL certificate of a domain. Log in to get in touch with our support. If you have more than one domain, don't forget to mention which one triggers the error message.

• 9.Do I need a Premium package to use my own domain?

  Yes, whether you register your domain with Webnode, transfer or assign an existing domain to Webnode, you need a Premium package to take advantage of a custom domain.

• 10.My domain expired. What can I do?

  After the expiration date you can't renew your domain in the user interface but we'll be happy to help you get it up and running. Log in to get in touch with our support.

• 11.I made a typo during the registration. Can I cancel it?

  Once the registration is completed, it's too late to make any changes. If it's a multiple year registration, we can cancel all but the first year so that you can use the rest of the registration fee to register another domain.

• 12.Why can't I use my domain voucher?

  Our domain registration voucher covers the costs of the registration of many regular domain types. Here's an overview of all the domain types that we support, both the ones that are included in the offer and those that aren't. Use the language menu at the bottom to switch languages and currencies.

Webmail - Webnode e-mail services

• 1.What is Webmail?

  Webmail is a simple browser-based email service that allows you to set up your own custom email address e.g. contact@mydomain.com. It requires having a custom domain as well as a Premium package starting with Mini.

• 2.Logging in to Webmail

  You use the same login form as when you log in to the editor but instead your regular login and password, you enter your Webmail address and your Webmail password. Read more here.

  
  

• 3.Password change

  In order to change password, you have to access the website administration as its owner or administration (read more here) or request the owner or administrator for help.

• 4.Can I set up email forwarding for my Webmail account?

  Yes, it's fully possible and here is a detailed tutorial.

• 5.I don't receive email to my Webmail account

  The most common reason is that you forgot to enter your Webmail-address when setting up e-mail forwarding. Read point 4 of this tutorial to make sure you set up e-mail forwarding correctly.

  
  

• 6.Is it possible to use external mail services e.g. Outlook, Office, G-Suite

  We support a variety of e-mail clients such as Outlook, Gmail and here you can find our tutorials. You can also use mail services from another provider (G-Suite, your own mail server) by setting the proper MX records for your domain - for domains registered with Webnode, please log in and contact our customer support team.

• 7.Can I send newsletters from my Webmail account?

  We don't allow using your Webmail account for sending newsletters. If one or more of your recipients report your account following receiving unsolicited messages, it may lead to freezing your account. Instead we recommend dedicated newsletter services such as Mailchimp.

• 8.Do you support imap or pop3?

  Yes, we support both e-mail protocols, i.e. imap and pop3.

• 9.What's the size of the inbox and the attachment size limit?

  Maximum total attachment size is 20MB whereas inbox storage is part of your website storage.
